Why it caught my eye
If you grew up on classic Star Wars shooters or you’ve been curious about how the old Jedi Knight games hold up on Switch, this collection is an easy one to notice. The bundle brings two fan-favorite titles to Nintendo’s handheld/console family, and the current price is a solid markdown from the usual tag — that’s a nice savings if you meant to add these to your library.
What you get
The collection includes Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. Outcast puts you in the boots of Kyle Katarn, wielding a lightsaber and the Force while using an arsenal of weapons — the listing calls out 13 weapons by name, from disruptor rifles to Wookiee bowcasters. Jedi Academy lets you customize your character (appearance and gender) and offers multiplayer for up to 16 players across six modes like Siege, Capture the Flag, and Free for All. That mix of single-player campaign action and multiplayer is the core appeal here.
Who would like this
If you want classic Star Wars action on the go or on your TV via Switch, this is aimed at you. It’s also a decent pick for people who enjoy a mix of lightsaber combat and old-school shooter mechanics, plus anyone who wants to jump into multiplayer modes with friends. The package works across Switch hardware, including the standard model, OLED, and Switch Lite-compatible devices noted on the product page.
What buyers are saying
The product listing shows a substantial review count — over 2,000 reviews on Amazon — which is a good sign that a lot of players have installed it. I won’t guess at specifics of what people liked or didn’t, but the high review volume suggests it’s a commonly purchased title rather than a niche re-release with no interest.
Good to know
This version was released for Switch in November 2021 and is published by THQ Nordic. It’s rated Teen, so keep that in mind if you’re buying for younger players. The listing also shows standard compatibility info for Switch models (including a mention of future-compatible Switch 2 on the page), so double-check your console if you’re unsure about hardware specifics.
My take
If you’ve wanted these games on Switch — whether for nostalgia or to try a different sort of Star Wars experience — this is a pretty good one to grab. The bundle gives single-player and multiplayer content, customization, and a sizeable player base, and the current price cut makes it easier to justify adding it to your rotation. If that sounds like your thing, it’s worth clicking through while the discount is up.
